Monday, June 15, 2015:

  • Jewish food news from the Forward
  • A review of a "new" cookbook we mentioned previously
  • I am very excited to announce that I will be starting as the new programming and communications associate for Congregation Brith Shalom at the end of the month!
  • A great piece on the fear that accompanies transitions
  • An interfaith campaign in response to global climate change
  • And this week's shout-out goes to the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), where I recently became a foster volunteer. Through this experience, I brought home Pickles, a chihuahua mix I ended up adopting last weekend. The SPCA is a great organization that works to find temporary and forever homes for animals in need through local chapters in cities around the country. You can learn more about becoming a foster in Houston here, and more about adoption here
